The Food Truck Store är faktiskt ingen foodtruck, utan en burgarkedja med en handfull restauranger i Argentina, samt enheter i både USA och Spanien. Vi besökte deras rymliga och supersnygga restaurang i Buenos Aires trendiga Palermo-distrikt. Huvudfokuset här är smashburgare som tagit direkt inspiration från andra restauranger och kreatörer, och vi beställde George Motz-hyllningen Oklahoma för 14350 ARS (145 kronor), 7th Street Burger-tolkningen Manhattan för 15700 ARS (160 kronor) och Burger King-replikan Jacksonville för 17000 ARS (170 kronor).
Våra tre burgare var otroligt välkomponerade och genomtänkta, och hade alla sin egen stil. Jacksonville använde deras eget bröd med TFTS-logotypen inbränd i kronan, som var väldigt fluffigt och ganska sött. Det passade utmärkt till rökigheten från baconet, och överträffade originalet med råge. Det här var en fantastiskt god baconburgare. De andra burgarna använde ett amerikanskt potato roll, som var väldigt mjukt. Oklahoma var väldigt lik originalet i New York, med ohyggligt mycket insmashad lök och Manhattan bjöd på en smakexplosion. Här hade brödet stekts på hårdare och burgaren kom invirad i papper för maximal flottighet. Köttsmaken var en riktig höjdpunkt på alla våra burgare, med en krispig stekyta, utmärkt kryddning och massor av smak. Vi blev väldigt imponerade över hur smaksäkra burgarna var, och kärleken till hamburgarna syntes verkligen klart och tydligt. Vi vill även ge pluspoäng för deras Dulce de Leche-milkshake för 6800 ARS (70 kronor) och den coola merch- och burgaringrediensbutiken inne på restaurangen.
The Food Truck Store serverar de godaste burgarna vi har ätit i Argentina, och vi längtar redan tillbaka för att utforska resten av menyn och deras andra hyllningsburgare. Vi håller tummarna för att restaurangerna i både Miami och Barcelona håller lika hög kvalitet, och ser fram emot att testa dem där med. För det här var något alldeles extra.

The Food Truck Store is not actually a food truck, but a burger chain with a handful of restaurants in Argentina, as well as units in both the US and Spain. We visited their spacious and super stylish restaurant in Buenos Aires’ trendy Palermo district. The main focus here is smash burgers taking direct inspiration from other restaurants and creators, and we ordered their George Motz tribute Oklahoma for 14,350 ARS (13.5 USD), their 7th Street Burger interpretation Manhattan for 15,700 ARS (15 USD) and their Burger King replica Jacksonville for 17,000 ARS (16 USD).
Our three burgers were incredibly well designed and assembled, and they all had their own style. Jacksonville used their own bun with the TFTS logo burned into the crown, which was very fluffy and quite sweet. It went excellently with the smokiness of the bacon, and surpassed the original by far. This was a fantastic bacon burger. The other burgers used an American potato roll, which was very soft. The Oklahoma was very similar to the original in New York, with an abundance of onions smashed into the beef, and the Manhattan was a real taste explosion. Here, the bun had been toasted harder and our burger came wrapped in paper for maximum greasiness. The meat flavour was a real highlight in all of our burgers, excellently seasoned with a crispy crust and lots of flavour. We were very impressed with how delicious our burgers were, and their love for the originals was very obvious. We also want to give plus points for their Dulce de Leche milkshake for 6800 ARS (6.5 USD) and the cool merch and burger ingredient shop inside the restaurant.
The Food Truck Store serve the best burgers we’ve had in Argentina, and we can’t wait to go back to explore the rest of their menu and their other tributes. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the restaurants in both Miami and Barcelona are just as good, and we can’t wait to try them too in future travels. Because this is something very special.
