Vi gled in en varm dag och beställde två olika burgare, då de hade både större och mindre dubbelpuckar på menyn. Vi beställde en Classic med 130 gram kött, cheddarost, lök, picklad gurka, majonnäs-dressad sallad, senap och ketchup för 730 RSD (70 kronor) samt en American Dream med två 80-gramsköttpuckar. dubbel amerikansk cheddar, krispigt bacon, pickles, jalapeños, rostad lök och deras hemliga sås för 850 RSD (85 kronor). Vi beställde också en portion pommes frites för 240 RSD (25 kronor).
Burgarna serverades på en träbricka, spetsade med ett grillspett. Vi anade dock att det kanske behövdes, i alla fall på Classic som såg instabil ut. Köttet på burgarna var alldeles för överarbetat och ganska tuggigt, och hade dessutom behövt mer kryddning. Brödet var både stumt och degigt, och det enda som gav någon riktig textur på Classic var den smälta osten som hade landat på stekbordet och blivit lite krispigt. I övrigt var burgaren ganska smaklös. Vi uppskattade inte att de blandat ut salladen med majonnäs då det blev kladdigt och mest gled runt. American Dream var mer balanserad, där det krispiga baconet och gav lite textur. Deras jalapeños tillförde precis lagom mycket hetta och den hemliga såsen hade en lätt ton av BBQ-sås utan att ta över. Pommes fritesen var krispiga och goda, och ett trevligt tillbehör.
Burgos har skrivit att de har stans bästa burgare, men vi får tyvärr säga att vi inte håller med. Kolla in stadens utbud så hittar du snabbt flera ställen som är bättre.

Burgos is a small burger restaurant in the centre of Belgrade. The restaurant has an open kitchen and a few seats upstairs, and on the ground floor there are a couple of tables as well. We opted for two different burgers, as they had both larger versions and smaller double patties on their menu. We ordered a Classic with a 130-gram beef patty, cheddar, onions, pickles, mayonnaise-dressed lettuce, ketchup and mustard for 730 RSD (7 USD) and an American Dream with two 70-gram beef patties. double American cheddar, crispy bacon, pickles, jalapeños, roasted onions and their secret sauce for 850 RSD (8 USD). We also ordered a portion of fries for 240 RSD (2 USD).
Our burgers came served on a wooden tray, impaled with a skewer each. We had a feeling that they might be needed though, at least on the Classic which looked pretty unstable. The patties were way too over-worked and quite chewy, and also needed more seasoning. The bun was both dense and doughy, and the only thing that gave any real texture to the Classic was the melted cheese that had fallen on the griddle and become a little crispy. Otherwise, it was pretty flavourless. We didn’t appreciate that they’d mixed the lettuce with mayonnaise as it became sticky and mostly slid around. The American Dream was more balanced, with the crispy bacon adding some texture. Their jalapeños added just the right amount of heat and the secret sauce had a slight hint of BBQ sauce without taking over. The fries were crispy and tasty, and a nice side dish.
Burgos have announced that they serve the best burgers in town, but we’re really must disagree. We suggest that you check out Belgrade’s other burger offerings and you’ll quickly find several places that are better.
